Phoynix
Is it possible? the Pipboy is all scripts I assume so im hoping you can put a HUD up on a weapon.
LeonTalon
It will most likely be doable when the G.E.C.K is released, but what would you need with a HUD on your weapon?
Phoynix
Sight which "locks" targets and displays ammo count on weapon
Smosh
Sight which "locks" targets and displays ammo count on weapon I don't understand your need for this. Do you realise that there is already an ammo counter on your HUD? "Locks targets"? Well that's pretty much VATS.
Phoynix
maybe.. im looking for a way to remove the HUD and have ammo counters on specific weapons show up on the weapons and ones such as pistols and assault rifles how amny bullets in the chamber is up to you to count. or just maybe the Idea of a ammo counter on a weapon instead of the HUD seems cooler to me, I asked if it was possible, not if people could understand :P PS-Vats locks parts of a target, I want a scope that will show a closeup of what the gun is pointing at in normal view
Moraelin
I'm guessing it's a gun concept thing. Lots of SF weapons have some kind of a digital ammo counter. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if that's possible in the game. What you want there is basically a procedural texture that depends on a variable somewhere else, and I don't think any weapon in the game has anything similar. It _could_ be possible with some scripting and basically having 31 different meshes there (between 00 and 30 rounds) for a 30-round gun, and visibility controllers that switch the rendered one. That sounds horribly inefficient though.
