Brennan
Am I the only one who thinks a warrior shouldn't be using enchanting? It is a magic skill afterall. A warrior who is not explicitly against magic could use enchanted gear that he finds, but that is still a long way from enchanting stuff yourself.A true nord warrior wouldn't even use enchanted gear though. Swords are for piercing hearts and axes are for chopping off heads and if you want to set your enemies on fire you can use a torch. Only milkdrinkers need magic to deal extra damage or boost their abilities. Of course, nothing is stopping you from using enchanting if you want to, but I like setting limitations in the skills that my dragonborn uses to give him a bit of personality. I agree in principal, but if you're playing focusing on mechanics rather than roleplaying, you need enchanting for damage boosts. Playing without using any enchants is a different experience altogether. it makes things more challenging, and forces you to be more tactical I think. It's a bit like trying to follow that Argonian through the East Empire Company warehouse without killing any goons. (failed miserably btw...I went on a killing spree after the second guard, lol)

worldofscotty
Enchanting is magic but it is not your magic. It's the soulstone's magic. It is only unavailable to a certain type of person in the same way that a carpenter is not allowed to magic a board onto a wall and has to use nails
