I played RAGE , not a really good game imo, but one of the weapons in that game caught my attention: the crossbow. It looked really cool, and i decided to make something for skyrim that looked remotely similar to that.

I decided to splice two meshes (the falmer staff and the normal crossbow) together through 3ds max, I seemed to have imported/exported correctly, the model was edited quite correctly, e.t.c.

 

HOWEVER: Once ingame it got kinda glitched out.

Okay, so looking at this, compared to when the model was in NifSkope, here are my problems:

1. The front 'claw' part of the crossbow is missing

2. The crossbow is on the floor

 

Now, would any experienced modder kindly (or unkindly, if that's the easiest way for you to get something accross) explain to me what is happening, and if anyone has had this problem before, tell me how you fixed it?
