Heyas Stronglav. Ok, so this is gonna read like it's a lot, and that it's really complicated, but it's really not. It's only just changing a couple of settings for what body slots the apparel uses so that it doesn't conflict with over armor.

First thing you'll want to look at is this https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Body_Slots_usage_for_Fallout_4 it's a description of what the normal armor slots are. This might help you in being able to choose a slot to use that will not turn the item invisible. Keep in mind that if you choose a slot that the mesh is not set up for, the item will be invis when worn. IE such as trying to set boots to use the mask slot as just a wild example.

The fact that it's a mod armor, is a bonus. That means that you won't have to extract it as a new override to a new .esp file. You can just edit it there in it's own .esp file.

This will be a tute in xedit. I literally cannot figure out how to make the CK work. So bear with me on that. Xedit is also so much easier to use for something small like this.

The part of the item that you are going to want to edit is BOD2 Biped Body Template.

2m5JBcVS_t.jpg

Those are the body slot attachment points.

Now compare that pic to this one. DWdbBipn_t.jpg

This is a suit that is set for underarmor. See how all the body slots have a in front of them?

That's all that you have to change.

When you go to edit the value click it once to highlight it, then click it again, so that it will open up the option to locate a new value via a dropbox. Once the drop box is available, just tap the bracket key [ and it will automatically go to the first entry that starts with that symbol. From there you just match it up to the regular non U slot that you are wanting to replace.

Cheat: Now IF you already have an outfit that is set up for being under armor, such as most of the mod vault suit variant sare, you can cheat to save yourself a bit of time.

This might take a bit of practice, sometimes Xedit can be finicky about this. 1st thing that you want to do is locate both armors in the left side panel, and have them both ready to be clicked on, by expanding the + signs next to either of them.

Now, hold down the CTRL key, and single left click one. Repeat this, with the other one. Now RIGHT click, and choose Compare selected (2). If done properly this will open up both of them in the right side panel.

IF they both use all of the same body slots (and you have to make sure that they do, or else you will have to either add or remove some of the slots afterwards!)

You can simply Drag and Drop the info from one armor to another.

xSMdbga8_t.jpg

(this is a bad example, because the slots used don't match, but this is just to show you how to do the drag and drop).

See how the one on the left is set up for normal armor? And the one on the right is set up as under armor?

Put your mouse pointer in that open space there where the diamond is, and hold down your left mouse button. Drag that across and then release the mouse button over there in the area where the star is. Xedit will automatically change it all.

Now again, don't do this if the info is NOT the same slots as in this example. IF you are not comfortable with adding or deleting some of the slots.

IF they don't match up, you can still do the drag n drop (DnD) but put your mouse pointer on each individual name. Then DnD it over. This will replace ONLY the one that drug over, instead of the entire entry.

Also, if you're not familiar with Xedit, when you are done and ready to save the file, just press and hold the CTRL key, and tap the S button, and it will confirm which files you want to save.

Then, just go in game and test it.

If you have any questions, or there was anything that I missed, just let us know

Hope this helps

Is the chest piece that you are talking about for the over armor or the under armor?

For under armor it might require more than one slot. Such as U Body and U torso.

If it is the over armor, then it might be that you used a slot that is not used for the body or torso.

If that isn't the problem, please show me a screenshot, and I will see if I can tell what's wrong ;)
