MBedragare
I "successfully" got SKSE itself to work with Mod Organizer 2. It launches and it tells me the current SKSE version in the pause menu. That's all fine and dandy. The trouble emerges when I try to use a mod that specifically requires SKSE, e.g. SkyUI or FNIS. It just chokes on launch. It tells me that MO2 is running, then closes automatically after about five seconds. No warning, no message telling me something went wrong, nothing. This happens every single time. SKSE will only launch if I deactivate all mods that require SKSE. I'm a week and a half into the modding scene and two weeks into using a PC at all, period, I played PS4 for three years and 360 before that. I haven't touched a computer for gaming purposes since 2008. I also use Special Edition and MO2 where all my friends use Oldrim and NMM. They can't help and I'm absolutely clueless. Please help. TheGreatFalro
First, welcome to the club! It sounds like you're using mods made for Oldrim, not the Special Edition. On the Nexus, there are different sub-sites for each version. The Special Edition mods can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition Mods made for the old Skyrim won't work on the Special Edition without conversion, and vice versa. Also make sure you're using SKSE64 - if the SKSE version says 2.0.17, then you're good.
