TangerineDog
No you wouldn't .. if you just edited the real potions they would all change to that version game wide. In fact this would really be the only way to do it.Them potions are in lists that effect the whole game. It would be a lot more than just replacing them in the cells. You also would instantly be incompatible with100's of mods and quests that work with the potions by doing something like this.SInce I have far fewer potions I want to add than I'd like to remove, I can' just substitute them 1 on 1 :sad:As for the lists and quests, I've added all my new potions to the relevant lists and removed the old ones from any lists they had been included in. There are no Users listed for any of the potions, only the Count is still rather high on some. Also, I'm doing this for my own private use so compatibility isn't an issue this time (my other mods are more low-impact and remove cleanly though, so I really do appreciate the heads up). You probably want to look into writing a script for TES5Edit that will replace X potion with Y drink throughout leveled lists and disable pre-placed X instances while placing new Y instances and save the end result in a new plugin. I do not know of any such TES5Edit script that will do that but it very well may be a plausible thing and possibly your only option short of going through everything by hand yourself.TES5Edit might actually be the key - I'll look into that. Thanks. Select a potion in the render window and press CTRL+F. This will give you the option to replace all potions of that type with another object. That, unfortunately, doesn't work on the interior cells - there, I'd have to do it one cell at a time. I'm really, really trying to avoid that. (Edited to fix a typo) Edited March 25, 2020 by TangerineDog

TangerineDog
That, unfortunately, doesn't work on the interior cellsSurely it works for interior cells as well. Only on single cells. That's why I'd have to do it one cell at a time, one type of potion at a time. I'm really, really trying to avoid that. Ghaunadaur
That's really strange. For me it replaces all objects in the whole game. The CK if even asks if I really want to do that. Make sure that 'Current Cell Only' and 'Current World only' is unchecked.

Edit: I just installed the CK from scratch. Now when I uncheck all the boxes, it asks me wether I really want to do this and I can actually replace the objects.Thank you so much for pointing me in that direction! garypotter24791
Garypotter24791: Looking for someone to co-op / co-create mods with me. Preferably a person with the patience and experience to give me on hand advice and tips. For example I am working on a dungeon on a specific set of stairs that I can't walk up in game. And things that YouTube doesn't teach like how to build with ICE blocks and merge Nordic ruins with caves without having to just bridge sections of cave and ruin together... I would like to know just tips and tricks that are helpful. Another teamate would definitely help for motivation and brainstorming. Plus I'm not a good action taker I'm more of an ideast I have many upon many ideas that I might not ever use. Skyrim needs more quest mods out there I've already played through the bigger ones that my PC and mod build would work with. Motivation is key.
