TangerineDog
I don't want to add anything to their merchant chest. But in some shops, there's items lying around with no specified owner and I can still buy them. When I add more items to the store cell though, they're not for sale. Why? TangerineDog
The merchant sells the things in the chest from what I understand. He does, but take Elgrims Elixirs, for example. All the ingredients you see in the store can actually be bought and disappear from the store when you do so.In the CK, no owner is set for any of them. Now, when I place any new ingredients there, they still belong to someone in game since I can only steal them, but they can't be bought any more. NexusComa
I've never look at the odds and ends ... They have to connected to the merchant somehow or the store. Possibly there is a sale list (form).
foamyesque
Merchants will sell loose items owned by their vendor faction so long as they also match the kind of items they are allowed to sell. Failing that, you can inject items into their store chest (without directly editing it) with a quest alias. These items will be protected through resets until something takes them out of the chest. Should you want to make them reset like normal, you need to remove the injected items, clear the alias, and then put the merchant chest back into it. This will add a fresh copy of the items, hence the need to remove the old ones.
