mst3kfangirl
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44017 I'm new to mods in FO4 so please bear with me. I've followed the instructions to the letter (after using Google Translate since I can't read Russian) and it doesn't work. The screenshots are in Russian too so I can't tell what it would say in game when I do get it working. I get hung up on step 3 when it mentions adding track 1, 2, 3, etc. Do I delete the xvm files already in that folder and then add the ones I've converted? I don't understand what's going on and would greatly appreciate any help toward this. Thank you in advance.
mst3kfangirl
Update 1: I used Vortex to install the .esp and the Main.ba2 files that's at least given me the option for the personal radio but now all I get is static. The other radio stations work fine. Going to try some more fooling around.Update 2: Still getting static. Don't know why. Going to try different audio converter.Update 3: Same thing. Can't figure out what's going wrong. Update 4: Okay, really getting frustrated now. No matter how I convert the audio files (before I convert to xvm), there's still static. This mod clearly doesn't work.Update 5: After much finagling, I can now hear a woman's voice saying random track numbers but no music. It's better than before but still can't play music. Alekseysh243
Update 6: Cool, now replace the audio files with a female voice with your own with the same name 1,2,3,4,5 and eventually you will hear them on the air of this radio station :whistling: Edited March 25, 2020 by Alekseysh243
mst3kfangirl
Wow. That was very helpful. Thanks making my opinion of tech forums go even lower. Does anyone have anything actually HELPFUL to contribute?
Alekseysh243
Let's understand first so to speak: When you start the radio do you hear a female voice from or just noise (hissing radio)? Edited March 26, 2020 by Alekseysh243

Alekseysh243
Well, now change the tracks along this path Data \ sound \ fx \ mus \ radio \ PersonalRadio to your own with the exact same name 1,2,3,4,5 ...... it is advisable to replace all 100 otherwise you have missing files will hiss it's normal PS: If you hear a female voice, it means everything works fine for you since the radio uses music tracks not from a .ba2 file, but from an unpacked folder Edited March 26, 2020 by Alekseysh243
Alekseysh243
How to configure Fallout 4 to install new textures, models, sounds, videos, interface elements and scripts. Open the path documents / mygames / fallout4 / file fallout4.ini and find: [Archive] sResourceDataDirsFinal = STRINGS \, Change to: [Archive] sResourceDataDirsFinal = STRINGS \, TEXTURES \, MUSIC \, SOUND \, INTERFACE \, MESHES \, PROGRAMS \, MATERIALS \, LODSETTINGS \, VIS \, MISC \, SCRIPTS \, SHADERSFX \ I read that you use Vortex and as far as I know it does not require prescribing TEXTURES \, MUSIC \, SOUND \, INTERFACE \, MESHES \, PROGRAMS \, MATERIALS \, LODSETTINGS \, VIS \, MISC \, SCRIPTS \, SHADERSFX \ to fallout4.ini file because it uses its own configuration of this file at startup. Accordingly, you cannot have any problems using my mod. Edited March 26, 2020 by Alekseysh243

Alekseysh243
So it's time you add your music;) Convert your music using MultiXWM and put it with a replacement on this path Data \ sound \ fx \ mus \ radio \ PersonalRadio. The more you replace the tracks in this folder, the less female voices you will hear;) Edited March 26, 2020 by Alekseysh243
