bettsyman1
hey everyone, i have been having some problems with Skyrim lately. when i try to start up Skyrim, my username will go green (indicating that i'm in-game) for barely a second, before it all just stops and i'm left as if i never clicked on it in the first place.I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the game (deleting the Skyrim folder as well) Loading it without any mods or DLC activated.going straight to the folder and trying to activate it there, bypassing the Steam interface in case that was a problem (I got a message saying "the application was unable to start correctly (0x0000132) Click OK to close the application")I have tried verifying the integrity of the game cache, however i get the message that "1 file needed to be re-aquired" but it never says which.I have also tried loading with the latest SKSE (since i believe the last version caused certain scripting errors) none of the above have had any benefit. I have been having problems with Scripting before, however now i cannot even get the game to properly get started.please help?
zyg0tic
Have you tried deleting the Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files from the My Documents > My Games > Skyrim folder? Even if you uninstall the game these might be the same as they were before.

beastyboy358
Did you check the log files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\logs?Also, maybe there is a DEBUG option when starting the program when you bypass Steam...
