IAvalonI
Soo,I 'm doing the pilgrimage quest right now, have a fame of 65, an infamy of 16, ohw, and I have the GOTY edition.. I'd been to the prophet a long time before, but could only be bothered today doing it.I went to every shrine, activated it, got the blessing and went to next one.. I went to every one, got the greater power 'Pilgrim's grace' and a message saying i had visited each shrine, but NO VISION... When i now revisit a shrine, it says, 'Seek more fame to be judged worthy'What do i do now.. BTW, i tried the cheat 'SetPCFame#' from random numbers between 65 and 1200 but still same message.. Please, i'd appreciate some help.Thanx
UnholyShadow
To use the same wayshrine again, you need to have gained fame since the last time you used it. I don't know if this is your problem, but it's a problem lots of people have with the KOTN.

There is a script that clears your infamy and once again allows you to wear the armour of the whotsit, and also the pilgrimage script. As is often the case in Oblivion, I think one script gets sidelined while the other is active. I just went round and visited all the shrines again after doing that Potato Bread quest. Being told to seek more fame is confusing to say the least.
SavageArtistry
I have that problem all the time. I'm trying the unofficial patch to see if that helps, but I have a workaround for you that I've used before. To start the vision, just open the console and type the following: setstage NDPilgrim

To start the vision, just open the console and type the following: setstage NDPilgrim 30 Cold blooded murders don't get the vision. You only have to rip out and eat someone's heart and you are suddenly unfit to wear the armour of the whotsit. What is the world coming to? You just need to clear your infamy, simple as that. No need to be rude. Yes, fame and infamy are part of it, but I've had this problem with zero infamy and after completing the pilgrimage. It is possibly a bug or a conflict with another mod. But don't take my word for it... info about the quests and about known bugs is found in this article. This is also where I got the code I gave above. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Knights_of_the_Nine

It's my English sense of humour SavageArtistry ... it includes lots of irony. Sincere apologies if you felt aggrieved. If you clear your infamy before starting, or if you've never committed a murder (like any normal crusader - being a holier than thou type), then there is never a problem with the wayshrines. You lose the ability to wear the armour at an infamy of 2 and you get a warning about the path you are taking at an infamy of 1. It follows that there will be conflict if you start the pilgrimage with an infamy higher than 2. The name kind of gives it away. Knights of the Nine, as opposed to, Murdering Cutpurse Scum of the Nine. There are a few issues / bugs, but none which concern the wayshrines - which is the meat of the original question posted. SavageArtistry
Well the first part I took as sarcasm, but the end ended up sounding like "It can't be solved with your suggestion, it has to be this, simple as that." Anyway, the 'net is infamous (no pun intended) for creating misunderstandings, so don't worry about it. If the OP was looking for a non-technical solution then I misunderstood, however the article link I posted is also a walkthrough of the KOTN quests and I would still recommend it for anyone who is not interested in the cheat codes. :) Now that I'm reading the original post again after a night's sleep, I see where s/he said there was infamy, and you're right. For the quest to work there must be no infamy, however as I mentioned sometimes even with the quest completed and with no infamy there are bugs or conflicts that happen and disrupt the quest. pedantic
Well the first part I took as sarcasm ..... Yup, lot's of that too. To make ammends, I clicked all 5 of your babies. Peinto-Kami? Who names these things!?
SavageArtistry
To make ammends, I clicked all 5 of your babies. Peinto-Kami? Who names these things!? http://savageartistry.darkbb.com/users/a1/74/52/47/smiles/774531.gif If you think that's weird you'd probably pass out at the names I've given the rest of my hoard. I actually have about 30 of those dragons but because each name is unique a name which would make more sense is guaranteed to already be taken. That particular one is a paper dragon, so naturally names like "Origami," "Parchment" and "Paper" are long gone, so I just picked a name that means essentially "painted paper" in Japanese. I have a second one, "Washi-Kami" which is a a Japanese brand of paper... so it's like naming it "Kodak-Paper." Anyway, I'm a nerd - please ignore my dragon naming proclivities.
