skyrim pausing

[KaraiValentine]

i've somehow reached a point where the game pauses for a second every few seconds.

yes, i have mods installed, quite a bit. but it didn't do that for a long while.

i've reinstalled the game, uninstalled a few mods. lowered settings a bit. and still no change.

i've used loot to sort it all and seems fine, aside from a few quick auto clean things that i won't get into cuz i'm not smart or patient enough to learn it all.

do i just have to lower settings all the way down?

please advise...
