twisterrk
Zombies are over-done. I want to see some beasties like in the movie "Pitch Black". -THAT- would be freakin' awesome. You can't over-do zombies. Ask Romero. They're too awesome.
DragonJTS
You can neither over-do nor over-kill zombies.
Irontaxi
im actually working o something along these lines... expect a beta release in about 2 weeks.. just fleshing out an urban center now...then some interiors and a bunch of feral creatures.. mostly a feral ghoul hack and slach initially but will evolve into a BOS quest I hope.. Going to do lots of mods to the ferals to increase their variety as well as some reskinning to make a wider variety of feral ghouls..

TehReaper
I dont like the no NPCS at all thing... Just the ghouls in daylight and night time, and heavily fortified towns... depending on how wealthy they were in the Vanilla game, though.
drksde
I see the number '1000' being thrown around be realistically, you wouldn't need anywhere near 1000 zombies to pull off a decent zombie horror sequence. Zombies in the wasteland would okay and lotsa fun i suppose but there's no drama out there. (at least, no more than giant scorpions or packs of dogs...) Claustrophobia is a necessary ingredient here otherwise its just a redneck gun-fest and 1000 ants would be just as good. no, IMO, the quest needs to be (as mentioned before) set in the evening/night, in somewhere like Springvale, where they have a school and a town. It's practically beggin to be filled with zombies. Number-wise, you would really only need around fifty zombies at a time. That shouldn't strain peep's machines too badly. It's just needs to be a relatively constant stream of zombies coming at you. So, say your at Megaton, an NPC wants you to rescue whoever from a house in Springvale... you can stealth it or fight your way through and when you get there, there's an optional mission to go rescue someone else from the school... i'm looking into the GECK but for the foreseeable future, i'm strictly morale support. I was going to say cheerleading section but tbh, the image of me (30yr Male) in cheerleading would require several does of Rad-Away.
TehReaper
THATS K. I have Rad Resistance 85% lol. But I think around 63 in a single area should be good... Maybe even 50.
Irontaxi
biggest problem is the player not wiping out the area too quick.. im working on having the ferals head to the sewers in daylight hours and pour out at night (enough pouring out that the players are like oh shite...I better hole up somewhere for the night.) so far.. I have a fairly robust system..have tweaked out all the ferals so they are far more perceptive and considerably stronger. a level 20 character should have slight stress where a level 10 character will get chewed up without alot of stimppacks being used..
