BubbleJesus Posted December 9, 2012 Share Posted December 9, 2012 So for my companion mod, I am using a mod called FNV Moonshadow Race. The only problem is it doesn't seem to work on my follower NPC. Does the GECK have a problem with custom races? What I did was loaded the main ESM, Lings ESM and moonshadow esp. After my follower was done, I made her race moonshadow. When I load the game, crash. So, I switched her race to caucasian, started the game, worked fine. Any suggestions on how to fix? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DizzasterJuice Posted December 10, 2012 Share Posted December 10, 2012 (edited) I'm not familiar with FNV Moonshadow Race but I'm going to guess that it has a different head mesh other than HeadHuman.NIF? It would be top left on race window, face data. If so it might not have any morphs, which is fine for player characters because thier lips don't move, etc. but it doesn't work for NPCs. I think I remember the Oblivion Moonshadow had morphs but not sure if they were included in the FNV port. A good indication is if it's eyes don't blink in NPC window. The new Creation Kit for Skyrim has a Face Animation Preview tab but the only way I know in GECK is to see if it blinks or not.Also make sure it has .tri and .egm files or it will crash.
