VikingII
I know the FO3/FONV Md Manager, this is the last version? Is this the best of all mod managers?
M48A5
In answer to your first question, yes, that is the latest version. In regards to your second question, it is all subjective. It depends on personal choice in what you are looking for a mod manager to accomplish. I prefer Fallout Mod Manager.
Gribbleshnibit8
If all you're doing is downloading mods, installing them, and wanting to keep things updated (not that there are many updates to Fallout mods these days), then NMM is a good choice for ease of use and the fact it has the above mentioned features. However, if you're a mod maker, or want to get into mod making, then FOMM is the better choice due to the integrated BSA browser and creator, the ability to sort and organize mods, and the ability to create mod install scripts, build installable mods from working folders, etc. It does however all come down to personal choice. I just prefer the feature set that FOMM has over NMM (or other options).
HiggsBp
I would recommend FOMM for Fallout 3. The reason for this is that FOMM has always been the primary mod manager for Fallout 3, so what you are going to find is that a lot of mods that require installers are going to be far more compatible with FOMM then NMM. Also, with each update of NMM, more code is depracated and the likelihood that a mod that was compatible with NMM one version ago is no longer compatible rises. FOMM is far more likely to keep compatibility with your FO3 mods for much longer periods of time. The choice is yours of course but I see a lot of the most popular mods littered with people saying that NMM will not work with it.
VikingII
Thank you and I have another question: I am playing FO3, I like it more than New Vegas, so I think I will not play NV ever (maybe I will jump directly to Skyrim). In that case, do I need the FO:NV combo version? Is the same or better? Or It will be better to use the FOMM only to FO3?
HiggsBp
Honestly you can use either one. Even if you want to switch later it wont matter since they both create their directories in the same location. If you choose to change later just point it to the same directory. Personally speaking, I use the combo version but that is because I play both games:)
VikingII
Thanks, but they are exactly the same? The combo version has no improves? (speaking only for FO3)
HiggsBp
The layout is slightly different but there is nothing that I can see that the new version can do that the old one can. If you are in doubt you should probably use the combo version. It has an option so that it automatically loads FO3 and will never ask you to choose which game to load, so in essence it will be be the old version with any of the improvements of the new version, best of both so to speak:)
