GarGira
HI there, I'm in Australia with IP 172.111.207.117 downloading from the URL https://cf-files.nexusmods.com/cdn/1151/43441/More%20Feral%20Ghouls.%20A%20Zombie%20Mod-43441-0-9-1581441117.rar?md5=-_kcqw90fVrca-xO01WuIg&expires=1585400238&user_id=29477090&rip=172.111.207.117 With the following Ping info: Pinging files.nexus-cdn.com [185.246.209.245] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 185.246.209.245: bytes=32 time=238ms TTL=46 Reply from 185.246.209.245: bytes=32 time=235ms TTL=46 Request timed out. Reply from 185.246.209.245: bytes=32 time=240ms TTL=46 Ping statistics for 185.246.209.245: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 3, Lost = 1 (25% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 235ms, Maximum = 240ms, Average = 237ms I'm having issues where whenever I download any file from NexusMods that's greater than 500mb my download speed drops from 1-4mb/s to 1-20kb/s. I've closed and reopened Vortex, cancelled and re downloaded the files and it still happens. Whenever I download anything less than 500mb the speed instantly speeds up. Had Premium for today only so far. Any way to fix this? My down speed on Steam is 5mb/s so I don't understand what's happening here. Thanks everyone! Tannin42
This isn't really a vortex problem, most likely you are being routed to a server that is under heavy load. (EDIT: small files are hosted by a different server so that matches what you noticed with smaller files being faster)As a premium user you can click the your avatar on the nexusmods.com site, click "site preferences"->"premium membership preferences" and there change the preferred download location (the CDN seems to route you to Chicago so that's likely the overloaded server).Alternatively you can use a VPN to get the routing to send you to a different server. Both will only affect newly started downloads though.
GarGira
Thank you very much, Tannin! I rerouted to Singapore which (surprisingly) is the server under the least load right now. Stay safe!
