Selecting exit from Fallout3 to the main menu will cause a problem that will disrupt the game.

Hello.

I started playing Fallout 3 again with MOD ORGANIZER 2.

However, if I choose to go out to the main menu, the game will stop and there will be a problem with getting out to the window.

I unchecked all the esp plug-ins for cause analysis and checked and tested only a small number of essential ESMs and a few esps, but they normally go to the main menu.

Of course, it's my habit to just press Alt+F4 and turn it off, so it doesn't really matter, but it still feels weird.

Is there a limit to the number of MODs you use on Fallout 3?

No matter how many times I search, I'm embarrassed because I didn't get this kind of information.

If anyone has experienced this, please give us some advice.

Using the keyboard, you would press the "Esc" key to pause the game and bring up the main menu. This will give you the option to "Continue" your current game. Start a "New" game, "Load" a previous save (this usually requires you to leave the game and relaunch it), check your "Settings", view the development "Crew", view any "Downloads", access Games for Windows "Live" (GFWL no longer exists) or "Quit" the game. Choosing "Quit" will take you to another screen that will give you more choices, including the ability to exit the game.

Why would you think there was not a limit to the amount of mods that can be added. Of course there is a limit to the number of total files you can have in your load order. Contrary to what some people will tell you, if you try to exceed 125 to 130 total files (the base game and DLCs are included in this count), strange things will start to happen. These strange things could be, but are not limited to, failure to launch the game, immediate CTD when choosing Load, Continue or New in the main menu, failure to load meshes or textures, game freezing, etc.

The total file count is also affected by any mod files that do not have an .esm or .esp. These mods are usually texture replacers that put a heavy load on the GPU. The count is also affected by the clock speed of your CPU, GPU, RAM, VRAM and the amount of RAM and VRAM available to run the game. You also need to take into consideration any background programs that will be running while you are trying to play the game.
