Dark Souls crashes on Level Load

Hello everyone,

 

I just reinstalled my PC with a new Windows 7 and installed Dark Souls. Everything worked nicely, I also installed the Durante Edition fix and the 360ce.exe for using my own gamepad.

When the game launches, it runs the GFWL login just fine, shows the title screen and when I choose "Load game" (I transferred my old savegame) and then choose my character, the game crashes during the load screen, giving the typical (and *useless*) windows error message: "Dark Souls stopped working".

 

Any ideas on this? It worked nicely before reinstalling my windows. Graphics drivers are up-to-date.

EDIT: This happens in fullscreen and also in windowed mode. Load game or new game makes no difference (the save file is not corrupted).

 

 

 

EDIT: Without Durante's Fix it wörks! Strange. Well, I'll have to live without it I guess.
