bDeferredShadows
This is one of the handful of things Oblivion did better than Morrowind and probably got removed from Skyrim to reduce CPU load for decade old consoles. You could catch arrows out of the air in Oblivion because the arrow in flight was simply an arrow, not some 2D sprite with a whimsical trail of pixie dust. Is it possible to revert to this system? Deleted1308005User
It's pretty weird by the way, that you can't catch arrow mid-air, but you can knock it off with Unrelenting Force. (IF I remember correctly. I think I tested it some time ago)However, I guess it was made like that just to prevent "Press E to make enemy rangers useless". Just think of it.However, would be cool to put on Slow Time (the shout or some spells found from nexus) and catch the arrows mid-air, equip them, and shoot them back at the enemy. But I guess it's pretty hardcoded, so it cannot be reverted. :(
Dudeman325
Shadowjin pretty much nailed it from what I can tell. They don't really seem to become a "grabbable object" until they collide with something. This may have had to do with a bug or two regarding collecting arrows in the first place, which can get a little glitchy sometimes as-is.
