prominentalex
Under several clean installs of Skyrim, the game continues to launch in full screen but with a border. It's basically a 1920x1080 window. No matter what I do, it won't get out. Changing the .INI's, deleting them, rebooting, reinstalling. Nothing will change. The .INI's recognize Fullscreen=1. At first it opens normally and then a small window appears in the top left corner (blank window) and then it enters the big window. HeyYou
Check for the setting in your Skyrimprefs.ini: bFull Screen=1 Make sure it is indeed set to 1. Also, Alt+Enter should make it go full screen....... (windows shortcut.)
prominentalex
I've done both. Reguardless of bFull Screen=1 it will launch the same. It's a legit copy from steam. I realllllly want to play, but I can't like this.

DanteSSS333
Is anyone of you using an integrated GPU too? If so, do u use hybrid graphics? deactivating them can solve many issues.
Jeezeus
Hello, Nothing like that is used. I think I have find the origin of the problem : Windows 8 OS !If Skyrim runs with Windows XP/7 compatibility, the problem of forced windowed mode appears. If it runs without any compatibily, there is a lot of graphical problem such as resolution blocked at 1028 and so, and so... This problem is due to a windows 8 update (no 8.1 on my computer). grrrr !
