Phoynix
If you want help getting it into game I have already done all of that for my own gun, except that ive had trouble with textureing :P but it takes me 60 seconds to get a model from maya into nifscope and into game.infact alot of my time was wasted reloading fallout when I changed the textures. Also the game effectively has ambiant light at 100% so if you set a white ambiant light in maya for the same effect it helps, basicly textures in fallout get whitewashed a texture that looks dark in photoshop can actually be on the side of bright in game. onyko
:verymad: Shortly after trying loading the nif model in nifskope it errors out and crashes.:wallbash: Now every time i try to redo it, it always crashes, no matter what.. I'm at a real loss now. Anyone want to look at my stuff and maybe see if anything i did would make it crash? should wait for that stupid G.E.C.K.? This really sucks
SpeedyB64
Exactly how are you loading it? If a nif is saved to work in fallout it is unopenable after without errors. Once the nif has been used by the game it becomes completely unopenable. Nifskope has problems with fallout nifs ATM. Once this issue is fixed it is best to keep a backup of the nif in oblivion format. Only copy the model to a fallout nif when it is completely ready. If nifskope crashes when you try to load the nif exported from the 3d program that is a different issue. The G.E.C.K. will help but the modeling and exporting tools need major updates. The nifskope problem is driving me mental. :wallbash: Oh well I guess I'll just have to wait.
Phoynix
I only had problems opening a nif once saved but that would work in fallout if I didnt run the merge veritices and delete commands before saving.
Weasel_Scourge
the G.E.C.K. has just been released, not sure if that can solve your problem, as I dont really know much about modding, but I'm sure it could help.
SpeedyB64
All you need is the model to show up in fallout and you are good. Now that the G.E.C.K. is out the model will be simple to load and make functional.
