luuk1161
Hey guys, I came up with this idea for a mod but I've got no experience at all and I'm not really planning on trying to make it either. I actually don't even know if it's possible but... Wouldn't it be nice if you could make your own mapmarkers in Skyrim? For example you find a good mining spot and you'd like to mark it AND be able to fasttravel to it?At this moment you're only able to set a custom direction which can still lead you to the spot but you can't fasttravel or place more than one. So my idea is that you could leave markers on interesting places and if you want to go back there you can fasttravel.I'd like to hear what you think of the idea. (: Cheers,Luuk

Dudeman325
I think your best bet would be to find mods that add more map markers to smaller, less "important" locations, there's a few out there. Making more than one custom marker is something really hard to change in the game's code by the client, or else I'm sure this mod would be out by now. Okay so it's actually impossible? :(
Dudeman325
More or less, unless you essentially rebuild the game from the ground up. Edit: You can always learn how to add your own in the CK. :D Have fun! Edited December 16, 2012 by Dudeman325
Aefion
But you could add your own map markers in Morrowind.
Dudeman325
I think I've said all I can say here, so last post. It doesn't matter if it was in Morrowind, the base functionality isn't there in the code for Skyrim unless you add them in the CK, or download a map marker collection someone else made. luuk1161
If it's not possible is there at least a way to set multiple markers (and maybe name them) so that you can find special spots back easily?
Dudeman325
Yes, with the CK... Edit: You can learn how to add your own mapmarkers, or you can download a mod that someone else made. Sorry if it seems like I'm repeating myself. The Cartographer's Map Markers is a good place to start. streetmonkey247
You could get Kagrenac's Instant Fortress? You'll only be able to deploy it near one of the locations but, once deployed, you can fast-travel to it. :
