I downloaded the temptress race mod, but after installing it I can't see it in the racemenu, what's the solution?

I installed it manually just copy and paste the data file.

Do I perhaps have to install the SKSE first?

Please answer, thank you

Did you activate the plugin in your load order? If you manually installed the mod and do not use any mod manager of any sort, then you need to launch the game without SKSE and access the mod list via the default launcher. Once there you can activate the plugin. Do note that you cannot rearrange the plugins with this method only activate and deactivate.

Sorry, there's a little that I don't understand, how do I activate the plugin ??

Step one:

How To Enable Mod
  1. Go to 'Documents>My Games>Skyrim'.
  2. Open 'SkyrimPrefs.ini' with Notepad.

*Right click on it, choose 'Open with', click on Notepad.

  3. Add bEnableFileSelection=1 under the [Launcher] section.
  4. Save and close Notepad.

Step two

  1. Start the game.
  2. When the launcher comes up instead of pressing play, select Data Files.
  3. Activate whatever plugins you wish to use.

Things to note:

  • Do not remove mods mid-game as this can cause issues down the road if not immediately
  • Do not deactivate a plugin mid-game and assume none of its assets will load, files not packed inside an associated BSA can still be used by the game even if the mod's plugin has been deactivated.
  • Do not add a lot of mods at one time mid-game as the launcher's mod management does not allow for re-ordering the plugins. It will automatically order them by file date. This can cause existing plugins to get shifted. If shifted too far from their position in the save file's expected load order the game might not be able to adjust and that mod's items already stored in the save file may not work or exist any longer.
  • Use LOOT to sort and re-date your plugins to help avoid issues with not being able to manually re-order plugins in the game's mod management tool

After learning and understanding how to install, activate, use, deactivate and delete mods manually, consider switching to a mod manager.
