Khrada
Hello all. After lurking in Nexus for years, I finally have the nerve to make a mod I think is worth to be shared. My problem with it is: The script included and models used in the mod are from the game itself. The scripts are freely provided to all player who owns the game (Skyrim here), but the models are packed in the .bsa archive. Will I get in trouble for modifying the model (changing the texture needed, which is still safely packed in the archive) and put it for my mod to use? There are no other people's stuffs except for Bethesda's here. Also a side question, how do I set the priorities of the images in my mod? There are some images I want it to show on the thumbnail in the search page, and on the first three pictures showed in the mod page. I won't make the file for public view before I have the problems sorted out, lest I made the wrong move and get myself in trouble. Thanks in advance
Hickory
Bethesda allow modding of their games, within their rules -- it's why there's a Construction Set/Creation Kit -- and using stock meshes and textures is extremely widespread, if not entirely inevitable. Don't ever claim them as your own, including scripts, give proper credits and you will be good to go. As for the images, go to your mod page (assuming you have already uploaded images) and in the 'Admin' section click 'Images' and you will see 'Primary' and 'Delete' on the images. Use the 'Primary' link. I don't think you can set incremental priorities, though.
