armageddon818
OOOH I was just thinking...perhaps the rings could use a texture that GLOWS...like power runs through it or something...I think that would be a good concept. Although if we did that, We would need to trace those glowing lines all over the place. Idk, or at least put them in the palace, which we need some MASSIVE interiors for. (And since it is in a mountain, the halls need to get bigger and bigger as you go down. I have spiral stairs too, for the main staircase in the palace, but i think that would require a HUGE custom room to make it fit perfectly in... UNLESS we made open sides and like a skydome effect or something... Like the harry potter castle ceiling, and make it snow inside perhaps... This place needs to have strong magical vibe, so, I think it should defintiely have indoor weather...give me some ideas guys! I was thinking maybe of having the inside of the palace being its own worldsapce, hollowed out on the inside for the most part, and have a nice big white palace carved from the walls of that. In which case, we would only need to enter the castle from the bottom, and just add some towers sticking out of the outside of the mountain. I really like this idea a whole lot actually, its like having two cities in one. lso, for Jack, who is placing the ledges... when you do, dont make a huge line of them, because then we donw have enough house ideas to fill all that area. Instead, use some bridges (mine of course!) to space them out and connect the platforms together. That way the houses will look like they have their own special platforms etc. I plan on elaborating further on the palace interior, but i cannot right now. Hopefully someone will beable to understand my strange ideas...
inggrish
Hmm, quite a good idea that. Indoor weather and very high ceilings. How easy would that be to be done though? I do like the idea of a whole huge custom interior, although that could take a long time, and alot of skill forevor chooses to do that.
armageddon818
hahahaha, it SEEMS that way, and that is why it is good... in actuality, it wouldntbe very hard whatsoever. its the EXACT same way we make the exteriors, just make a lot of ledges and then sick some towers and buildings in there and we are golden! (or icy in thiss case...)
XanAlderon
can I do something easy like make villages or something?
armageddon818
Well there really arent any villages i'm afraid. This is all one city, very urbanized like the imperial city. I know, we are all eager to actually do something, but we want to have things planned out before we just rush in blind and start to add things. Not to mention your time is rather inopportune. You must be around 5-6 hours behind me, and everyone else on the team is 5-7 hours ahead of me. That means you are like 10 hours behind everyone. There ARE going to be a few minor islands where you go for the opening quest to get there. Those are going to be tropical, like...cameron's or shivering isles style. Ummm, those need to be added to the esp though, and we still need to solve the problem or custom land texturing.
