Duk12bia3
Installed Win 8 Pro, checked and verified that I had all the latest drivers. Tried several times to play Skyrim. When I click on Play, the games appears to load indicating that the ten mods have installed and that synchronization finished. It appears to load, I see the company logo and then it stops and I am back in the desktop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice now. I have downloaded the Catalyst Software Suite and AMD Cayalyst Application Profiles, based on the technicians e-mails. Haven't seen any error messages pop up during loading. Any known issues with Skyrim and Win 8 Pro that you know of??????
Hickory
Start the game *without* adding any mods first. It may be a mod that is causing the CTD -- that is widespread.
DavinaJo
The second thing you may want to do is run Skyrim as Administator as of windows xp i think you need to make certain programs run as admin for them to run correctly with OS. this is even more so with the newer OS specifically if your running a x.64 bit version of windows as Skyrim is only 32 bit game. to see your OS spec click on start then right click computer (use to be my computer) and choose Properties to make your game run as admin you need to right click on the game and choose properties then the Compatiblity tab and then click the option to run as Admin.
