spuffin
Hi guys! I'm very excited to be apart of the Skyrim Modding community~ I played Skyrim for a long while on the Xbox but just recently upgraded myself to a High-End Gaming LapTop! I never downloaded or installed mods before and I'm working with Windows 8. I did manage to install the Skyrim Mod Manager. I was hoping I could get any help or possibly a list of all the BEST Graphical mods for this game. Yes, I am a graphic prostitute o.o That is why I am obsessed with Skyrim. I love it's realism.Possibly a little help with how to install them? I recently read that they had to be placed in order as well?? Any help on this would be great. I would search myself but I get so insecure when I see that there are 3-4 different tree mods and I don't know which one will work let alone downloading all of them and blowing up my game... -All the best Graphical mods-How to download them-What order should they be in I would really appreciate your help guys! I know it's a lot of work but this would really help me out. I refuse to play unless it's fully modded and ready ; ; Thank you!
Jeir
Have a look at this thread posted not long ago. It lists quite a few graphical mods you can have a look at. You download them the same way you download any other mod. Can't help you with NMM as I'll never use it, but manually it's just a case of downloading the file, opening it, and extracting the contents to Skyrim/Data. As most mesh/texture replacers don't need .esps, you don't have to worry about load order, at least. But, you have to be aware that some mods overwrite, so be aware of what each mod adds. If you download two mods that, say, change tree textures, the one you install second will be the one Skyrim uses. My recommendation would be to install large mods first (such as Skyrim 2k, as it makes textures changes for everything), and smaller mods that only affect certain things, like trees/grass/flowers, or buildings, or the sky, afterwards. If there is an .esp, then BOSS is your friend there.
