randomtraveler079
This Hagraven was horrifying, almost human but more an abomination of woman and creature fused together, nothing more than a husk of humanity surrendered in exchange for possession of the powers of dark magic." ―From Herbane's Bestiary: Hagravens This enemy is one of the more memorable ones in skyrim and one that could be further expanded on. from all the lore it is known that -The transformation requires a human sacrifice-The forsworn revere them -They hate spriggans -They create briarhearts So what if in addition to vampires and werewolves we give a third option? For those who want dark powers and last but not least a quest in which either an NPC or the Player Character is tricked into interrupting the ritual but realize too late the horrifying consequences and must find away to change back before the transformation is permanent. Dudeman325
Leaving a note for anyone interested in making this, because I've got a decent workload coming up, but I want to share my thoughts. I don't know how easy a new transformation procedure is to make without overwriting an existing one. Dawnguard did it, I suppose, so perhaps there's a way to clone the Vampire Lord transformation, but I'm not sure as I've never tried. From a Lore perspective, It seems pretty sure that the Hagraven transformation takes quite some time (they are hags, after all). More often than not, the Dragonborn is a semi-Youthful Person, who don't seem to be able to just undergo a Hag transformation. Its also a fairly permanent state. You can see an example of this at the Hag Shack in Eastmarch. At low levels, before you go there for the Sheogorath quest (remember the Old Hag there later might have been put there by Sheo himself, but I don't think he has the power to just transform them suddenly), there is a young woman there just starting to undergo the transformation. She has some dark magic skills, but not as much as a Hagraven. She also couldn't transform at will, even though she was molting feathers. This signifies to me that it isn't a sudden change that is reversible, but a fairly drawn out, permanent process. Would be cool though... Edit: Maybe a custom race? Deleted1308005User
I think custom race is out of option. Just too hard in so many ways.Saying "custom race" will just scare off all those who were interested in making it. Even if it'd be a bit non-lore friendly, I'd say temporary form would be plausible. There is couple of spells after all which transform you in different forms. (I've seen bear and wolf transforms)But I am not sure if those are around anymore, maybe those are always buggy? Maybe not. I don't know for sure.
