Crash when entering combat!

Hey..

 

I've spent over 120 hours playing skyrim and first after all those hours, Nexus appeared to me! :D I started modding my game so it looks really nice know. :)

 

I just got one problem with th game now.. Everytime I enter combat, I get CTD... It's really annoying!! The amount of mods that I have is a lot, but the CTD started along time after I was modding my skyrim, and the latest mods has nothing to do with combat.

 

If I swing with my duel swords out in the open, nothing happens but when I enter combat with a creature or enemy, I get the crash.

you have many warning about Cloak and lantern and others

 

for Cloak of skyrim and Winter is comming you must use only one .esp of each mod + the WIC patch, the mod author 's description page will give you all the information you need

the same problem, with the lantern, you must use one mod or another not the both:

this too probably cause a problem, CBBE means you have to use a CBBE body replacer, you don't + you need the compatibility patch tu run it

 

but then : dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp Active

you will need a custom skeleton for CBBE

But none of these mods are doing the problem.. Those mods were some of the first that I've gotten. Im still goin to deal with them, cause im getting desperate.

 

The lanterns mods, isnt that 2 stand alone mods.. 1 for wearable lanterns and the other for the light and permants lanterns?

 

I have deleted the other cloak mod, so there will not be any problem there, and only one WIC.esp active.

 

Downloaded the Dovahkiin compatibility patch. And i got Callientes Body mod, big bottom edition.

 

After all this, it still crashes when I enters combat. I tried to disable the sounds packs, cause I thought it was when the combat music begins, but even with the default music, it CTD.

my bad for wearable lantern, was sure about the incompatibility,, in fact there is one but only if you use another wearable lantern... i have it for long now, sorry

 

for the body you need now a custom skeleton good luck on how to find the good one :), look for realistic one, then BBP etc...,or this one also it will solve the problem, they are made for Ragdoll.

read carefully the description page, the authors give all the information you need

Yea, but those mods has nothing to do with the CTD's that I have now.

I had the exact same problem recently. I never could find a single mod that was causing the problem, though if I turned them all off the problem ceased. I eventually solved it by resetting all of my configuration files. When I did that the crashes stopped. I'd suggest trying that and then slowly making changes to the ini to make sure none of them are causing any problems for you if the problem stops. In my instance, I think my old settings no longer played nice with skyrim and were simply overpowering my system. Since combat was especially taxing, my game just couldn't handle that along with the settings and the mods and simply crashed every time. In otherwords, I don't think there was any particular thing causing my crashes when I entered combat. I just had too much stuff going on for my system to handle it all. (I also reduced some setting in nvidia inspector. That might help too)

 

Also, ATTK might help. You can find it on the nexus.

As korun said you need something like cbbe or unp body for some of the armor mods you have.And for a skeleton model i use http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11064+the Perfect Proportion for Realistic_Force fix that is with the same mod Edited December 18, 2012 by Lawlacaust
