Jared2500 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I would assume that this is enough to run Fallout 3 on max settings, but I was wondering if i could get some second opinions. It's a really good deal, so I'll probably get it. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...=SYXS-DG-038800
kejting Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I dont think that will max it,maybe with aa off at 1280x whatever. But ultra with aa is a bit hard on that rig.
Gorbachev Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Your luck may be different but two weeks ago I ordered some Corsair ram from tiger direct. I do not currently own any Corsair ram... :glare:
Ject67 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 That would run without a problem on max settings, I could nearly garruntee it.
Limbabnees Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Highest settings, which resolution and how big is your screen (15" or 22")The 9800GT seems a tiny little better then the 8800GT, and you CAN'T run F3 ULTRA perfect with the 8800GT. With 1 GB it will be OK, 512MB will be discutable.
dra6o0n Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I played on a max texture with a few settings pushed up, only gets a few studdering from walking in the wasteland, sometimes slows down when theres too much action, but I don't have AA on.Geforce 6600GT 512MB with a decent comp, Dual Core 2.60ghz x 2, 3 GB ram, over 200gb hdd... In a more specific sense it would be a medium high, under High and Ultra High settings...
Skotte Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 @Jared2500, Seems that should be at least be a solid performing system. @Gorbachev, the 2X 1 gb of Corsair memory I've used for years has worked great so far. <knocks on wood>
macmert Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 It is a great deal, I would pay half of it for only the graphics card in my country... But for the vid card I would recommend ATI HD 4850... It is about the same money as nvidia but performs way better...
