Power Helmet textures

I've noticed that the regular power helmets and the T-51 share textures even though the models seem different. I would like a different coloured T-51, but changing its helmet changes the BoS helmets, too and I don't want that. I've tried making an esp file to point the t51 model to a different texture, but couldn't find the reference in it. Can anyone help me with that?

I've held off on retexturing helms and armor for this very reason. This kind of thing will be (hopefully) so much easier when the GECK is released as creating new IDs will be a simple click of the mouse.

I think you could just retexture it by opening the nif in nifskope and changing the texture to your modified one (just make sure you rename the texture). This should work beacuse the nif is responsible for the texture, the esp only points to the nif.

Sorry for being a noob and since this thread was here, I saw no point making a new thread. I recently started retexturing myself, but I am having trouble locating the Power Armor Helmet texture, I was wondering if anyone could tell me where it is ?
