jjb54
Okay, this is more a vent post than anything. It started with Fallout 3 than New Vegas and now 4. TV's seriously? I mean they do not work, period. I even find the Screen they use, I call it the " Bullseye / Target " screen. But here is the thing, for those old enough ( I'm dating myself ) to remember. THE TV STATIONS BROADCASTED THOSE. There is NO chip inside the TV that plays it. So the very best you could get is White Static Screen of Death ( similar to the Blue Screen of Death ). I know, I know ... majoring in a minor issue. But it's just one of those things where you go, obviously a kid who had NO IDEA of the reality and / or history of the TV Screen they are using. No idea at all. My vent is done. I now return you to your regular schedule show! I LOVE LUCY!
Zorkaz
In Fallout 4 I always assumed GNN was broadcasting the emergency signal. That's why the gunners tried to re-use the newscasting room

That's why the gunners tried to re-use the newscasting room I initially thought that - but GNN is radio only. . o O ( Back when I played Fallout 3. ... Until I saw and learned that GNN was just Radio.
Zorkaz
GNN has any kind of media, TV too.https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Galaxy_News_Network Galaxy News Radio is a subdivision that is the radio network. From what I can gather, maybe the Gunners were trying to make propagandistic news segments.

Well, it would seem - unless we are able to find an answer, that RADIO was all that ' survived ' the Nuclear Bombs. Fallout 4 - Advertisements, Gunners plaza is a former GNN radio station. Silver Shroud Radio plays re-runs of the GNR episodes of the Silver Shroud. I would be seriously curious IF a TV STATION able to transmit survived??? Maybe some MOD creator will take this and create a QUEST MOD??????

Argentic
...So the very best you could get is White Static Screen of Death Wait... You mean the Black and White Ant Races that all the stations showed when they supposedly went off the air for the night? Hey, those were great late night entertainment, man- although I think they were fixed; I mean, it seems like the white ones always won, but the black ones always gave 'em a run for it! :teehee:
