AminAlfa Posted April 19, 2020 Share Posted April 19, 2020 so first of all hi everyone. i've been trying to play fallout 4 with my shity specs : ram 4 , Intel Core i5 480M 2.67ghz, Radeon HD 5000 Seriesi was surprised that the game actually ran and i was able to play and go around smoothly till i reached the city and the disaster began, i started to get very low fps and game lagged a lot but i was able to play 10-20sec after game freeze but eventually i couldn't even close the game, i tried some custom ini files they didn't help the process some mods related to urban areas and object removing.i'm really eager to waste my time in fallout 4 but i can't go on with a situation like this and i know FO4 wasn't made for that spec it's obviously pretty much weaker than the minimum spec but is there something that could really help me to play without having the game freezing but still with more than 15-20fps in those areas? AminAlfa Posted April 21, 2020 Author Share Posted April 21, 2020 (edited) Maybe give BethINI a try. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/67?tab=imagesso yeah i managed to play longer with bethini and disabled some mods too, first i combined boston fps fix, insignificant object remover, far objects, and vivid textures but i though changing vanilla textures to vivid might get the game smoother but it made it laggier so i disabled it the other problem is that i believe boston fps fix revert all bethini changed i made to it's own changes this is a conflict, are there anything else u can suggest me to use with bethini to get even a better performance cause now and then my game freezes for no reason like i get stuck in vats for 5 minutes just to shoot one target Edited April 21, 2020 by AminAlfa Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AminAlfa Posted April 21, 2020 Author Share Posted April 21, 2020 so rn i'm just using bethini with boston fps fix, insignificant object remover, and dialogue interface mod. first time i started game after i got out of the vault everything was smooth on low graphics for a long time before fps drop happen to me when i got near to the city idk what is triggered back then now i teleported back to sanctuary i still got those fps drops even with poor configs i made with bethini.i mean everything was ok at the start no lag no low frame rate... AminAlfa Posted April 21, 2020 Author Share Posted April 21, 2020 the best solution i got was bethini to be frank and i made some other changes to the ini files that was made by bethini and i got the best performance also i disabled boston fps fix cause i didn't have any change by that mod everything is smooth but the problem is that i get fps drop for instance when i get out of good neighbour idk what could help me to get the same fps in those areas too Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AminAlfa Posted April 22, 2020 Author Share Posted April 22, 2020 I realized that there are 3 lines of ugridstoload and 2 buffersize in total so I made them all to 2-9 + some other adjustment i wanted to test like even lowering the shadow resolution disabling mostly everything, pretty much I can say that just the gore effect is on, it gave me a good fps after i matched them all together. I wanna know that are there any texture packs that can work with these configs besides vivid's all in one-best choice?
