Premium Servers - Capped Download Speed?

Hello

 

I have noticed today, that premium servers seem to be capping my download rate at 3MB/sec. For instance, If I try to download multiple files, it half's the connection & only allows up to 3MB.

 

I have a 9MB/sec connection.

 

Is this due to the coronavirus lock down & the bandwidth due to how many users, so a cap has been introduced? Just wanted make sure it was an issue my end!

I can see as you're getting >2MB/s you're not longer being capped by us. There could be any number of things between your PC and our servers causing the slow-down.

 

If you haven't already, could you try downloading manually or from a different server?

Have tried all the servers. Seems the max I can download is now 4MB.

 

No restrictions my end though, as I've tested downloading multiple things from different website & I get the full 9mb.

 

Maybe the download servers are just getting hammered?

It is possible, the site is a lot busier than normal (I'd expect due to the pandemic). You may find that it speeds up a bit in times of less traffic.
