nightinglae850
Hello I’m going to attempt to make a new unique armor that is (hopefully) going to look almost exactly like legolas from The Two Towers http://www.theargonath.cc/characters/legolas/pictures/lttttally3.jpg But I was thinking of adding non useable weapons to the armor like a small dagger on the belt for looks or the 2 Elven daggers he has on his back Although I don’t see armors that add weapons except for 1 or 2 that added a small dagger to the thigh, is it hard to add them because they bend like clothing? Or is it just hard to do?
ghosu
Armor/clothing bends, because the whole mesh is attached to several bones...so it bends when moving. You can add the weapon as its own mesh and weight it to one bone...or merge all meshes and weight all polygons of the weapon to one bone. Like a simple helmet without neckpiece, often weighted to one bone only so no bending. Edited December 20, 2012 by ghosu
