SignedName
In vanilla, reaching the final level of sleep deprivation kills you. Rather than that, I want it to be changed so that it knocks you out so you collapse where you're standing and lose a few hours (and restore the appropriate sleep value). Appreciated but not necessary would be random events during your sleep, such as being looted and losing caps/nonessential items, or being attacked by wild animals/ghouls (chance of these events influenced by Luck?). Swordsguy2010
being at 900 sleep, i'd think would be as if you stayed up for 3 or 4 days straight. the fact that your character dies seems pretty realistic to me, because if you do stay up for a week you probably would keel over dead. Instead why not if you get to 850-900 sleep there would be a chance of your character passing out and as you stated you would lose items/ money (preferably 85 - 90% of your stuff (minus quest items holotapes etc.) would be gone when you woke up.) you should be able to stop yourself from passing out by shaking your camera. the closer you get to 1000 sleep the harder it will be to keep yourself awake by shaking the camera. and once you get to 1000 you should still just die. Or...you could just go to sleep for an hour or two. i mean why is this even a thread? why the hell are you keeping your character up long enough for them to drop dead anyways..?? O_o? jjb54
I have to agree with Swordsguy - Seriously, I play HC and have to eat - drink water - sleep or my skills and such suffer and rightly so. I can go 2 in game days before serious health issues and skills start to suffer greatly. This is reality. >>> Here is the thing: 1,000 hours equals 41 days. Ponder that for 30 seconds. Case In Point: The longest recorded time without sleep is approximately 264 hours, or just over 11 consecutive days. Although it's unclear exactly how long humans can survive without sleep, it isn't long before the effects of sleep deprivation start to show. After only three or four nights without sleep, you can start to hallucinate.Mar 16, 2018
SignedName
The rate at which sleep increases is not within the scope of the mod. The point is that realistically a human cannot keep awake to the point where they die through natural means. The only cases where people have died from insomnia appear to be a fatal prion disease for which sleep deprivation is only one symptom among many. And the point of the mod isn't to make sleep into something you don't need to do, it's to make it so you're punished for it in a more sensible way (losing items/caps, getting attacked while you're vulnerable).
