Mods nots being recognized by Skyrim (Steam)

Okay, I hate to beat a dead horse unintentionally, but I wasn't able to find an answer to this anywhere. I DL'd NMM earlier today to install some Skyrim mods (Graphic mods and item packs). When I installed them using the default setting that NMM came with, Skyrim would load (via Steam) to the Skyrim logo prior to the menu screen, then CTD. I uninstalled all the mods, and tried loading without issue. I watched Gopher's YouTube videos about this, and followed his directions. Skyrim would load no problem, but none of the mods I DL'd showed up or worked. Here are the directories I'm using:

 

DEFAULT NMM:

C:/Games/NMM/Skyrim/Mods - Caused CTD at title screen

 

Here is what I adjusted it to:

C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Mods (/Install Files) - Mods not showing up, game runs fine

 

I've also tried:

C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Data (All my Workshop mods were loaded here) - Mods still not showing up.

 

The mods I've tried running were/are Immersive Weapons/Armors, Enh. Light/FX, and Sneak Tools. I don't usually run mods, and the ones I've used for Skyrim from Steam are basically graphic updates and some Other things (armor, weapons, added quests).

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

edit: C:games/NMM/skyrim/mods. is a data file Dir for NMM, not for the game, if you reload/re-install skyrim, you will find all you mods you have here before re-install

active mods are here on every computer on hearth :)

 

c/: or any other letter/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data

 

except 2 kind, SKSE and any Enb you can choose

 

when you DL mods with manager, you will have them in a large tab uncheck, so you need to go on the left, there is button with a blue file and a green arrow, clic, you will see a msg popup, telling you "the mod is activated"

if you use the launcher there is a file tab, go in and you will see all the mod installed here too, they all must be checked , if not go back to NMM if yes then play :)
