x1reap
Hi all, I'm pretty late to the Oblivion train. I finally bought the game earlier this week, and decided I wanted to mod it to make the experience a little better for me. I started TES with Skyrim, so I knew I would have troubles playing Oblivion. I followed a mod guide from a user called Bevilex, showing his mod list to make the game look and feel like a much more modern game. I decided not to use all of the mods he suggested, as there were well over 100 in his list, and after everything was said and done, the game started up and seemed to be working properly. However, the ui seems to be broken. The main menu seems to have a strange pixelated color over top of it, the cursor is non existant and shows up as a block of missing texture, most of the buttons either don't work, or appear offscreen, and when you get in game, opening the menu with esc also breaks making it so you cannot close the menu. I'm using Wyre Bash, as Bevilex suggested, and I can't seem to find any major error that could be causing this, no errors or conflicts when I run BOSS either. The mod list suggests using DarnUI, as well as NorthernUi, which after some research I discovered they don't play well with one another. I've tried uninstalling DarnUi and running the game, same issue. I've also tried uninstalling NorthernUI to no avail. I can't seem to find any other mod that alters the menus in my load order, so I'm at a bit of a loss here. I'm also not accustumed to the older style of modding used in Oblivion, so it could just be me making a silly beginners mistake. Here's a link showing what my UI looks like currently.https://imgur.com/2iItedG Edited April 22, 2020 by x1reap
Striker879
Issues with uninstalling and thus breaking UI mods has been discussed in the Bevilex mod comments. Use the forum interface for those comments (click the Forum Thread button at the top of the comments) and then use the forum interface search to find posts on the problem. - Edit - Sorry Drake ... :ninja: Edited April 22, 2020 by Striker879
