Thank you guys so much for the help! It works, but it doesn't seem to matter whether the esps for the original 2 mods are on or off in the load order (it wont launch if you don't have them in the data folder, which is what I wanted). Should you have the esp's on or off, or does it not matter?

The GECK doesn't care about your "load order". (The game uses that.) It only loads the files you tell it to when it opens, and does not do so "automatically" (in general). People new to the GECK are often confused because it tends to automatically load the DLCs. (See "Issue - GECK automatically loads unwanted DLC Masters" in the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article. You should follow that Tip to turn them off as that is how people wind up with unwanted DLC masters for their mods.)

Suggest you review that "Common Problems with GECK" section and make note of things that apply to this current situation.

You have to manually tell GECK to load the other ESPs you want. Any files loaded in the GECK at the time you save your ESP become masters for that ESP.

What you are doing is creating a "compatibility patch". See the wiki article "Compatibility Patching" for the basic process. There is also the "Multiple file Merge-Up Procedure" article for a more complex example.
