Liertihurk
If you're like me and you love lore, it kind of sucks when you sometimes forget things. There's a lot of information in the game that's interesting and immersive, whether it's found through reading a book, speaking with the locals, or something you get details on during a quest-line. My idea is for a mod that would add an additional tab (alongside Quests/General Stats/System) to the Journal menu, that would track the lore your character encounters during a play-through so that you can come back and later reference it.Organization could be handled in a lot of different ways, such as by source, by overall topic, by keywords (might necessitate duplicate entries when one source has multiple keywords), and so forth. Ideally, it would be neat to be able to enter search terms to pull up anything you wanted easily by searching through all of the gathered lore text you had encountered and accumulated. If I'm not mistaken from my interpretation based on a brief internet search, on the General Stats screen, Skyrim keeps track of your Books Read, which I believe is tracking the unique books you've read. If so would there be a way to populate information into this new Journal sub-tab based on your having read a specific book coming back as true? I honestly know not a thing about modding/programming/any of this, so I'm kind of shooting in the dark here and don't know if all of this is even possible. While maybe slightly more difficult/complex, would it also be possible for lore learned through dialogue, or even quest objectives (if there's any relevant information there)?Examples would be information about places, dragons, people, and the like.If there's anyone that wants to take this on please let me know. AriaGrill
Journal of the Dragonborn might be something you're intrested in. You have to manually edit it, but you can always go back to it in game. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13570 would there be a way to populate information into this new Journal sub-tab based on your having read a specific book coming back as true? If you mean what I think you do, Unread Books Glow SSE might be what you're looking for. I've been using it for years since Oldrim days and I love it. would it also be possible for lore learned through dialogue, or even quest objectives (if there's any relevant information there)? There are a number of quest and NPC mods that add/expand on lore of your character to learn. Wheels of Lull (it pushes the suspension of disbelief if you're a stickler like me about lore, but it's still very enjoyable) and ANNA NPCs has a dark elf companion who talks about Morrowind if you ask. I can recommend more if that's something you'd want Edited May 8, 2020 by AriaGrill
IsharaMeradin
If you do not want your books glowing, More HUD Inventory Edition marks books that you have read on the item card. More HUD itself shows an icon next to the crosshair when pointing at a book. If you'd like a listing of books you have read, Legacy of the Dragonborn has a library section that you can populate with books as you come across them. Some books have actual displays while others can be put into cabinets sorted alphabetically. LotD has MCM pages that mark what books you have displayed. And only to be thorough, if you can find a copy of SkyComplete and get it working with SSE (I think it would need conversion as it was an LE mod), it lists the books that you have not read and marks them once you have read them. But the mod was removed from the Nexus by the author, so who knows how viable anything found stuck in the corners of the web might be.
Gorsha
There was a mod called skycomplete. It was for LE but is deleted.A little search on the internet brought me Here for SSEThis tracks all. Quests, Books, Armor and Artifacts.
