cactoblasta
A few questions first. What, exactly do you mean by ECT? The .esp should go straight into the morrowind/data files directory, with textures into the data files/textures subdirectory and the meshes into data files/meshes. If the download holds only bitmaps, it isn't a plugin. It's probably just screenshots - check to see that you've downloaded the right thing. RE Brenton Body? Is that a mod, a missing texture, or something else entirely? Please try to be more specific in your descriptions.
Ferret
Perhaps he meant et cetera? Etc. Guide to make plugins work. When opening a zip/rar/whatever file containing the plugin, you should notice, that besides the *.esp file, there are also two folders (so far I've only enountered two folders) named textures, and meshes. When extracting the plugin from the zip/rar/whatever file, it is important also to copy over these two folders. If you only copy over the *.esp file, you'll get a huge wad of errors and all sorts of junk as you've described. The two folders must be copied over in the systems folder in the morrowind directory along with the *.esp file. (Just do what CactoBlasta said, I just like to recap) In order to activate the plugin to work in Morrowind, you shouldn't double click the *.esp file as it seems you have done. When you start up Morrowind, you should at first see a small box pop up on your desktop, from where you then choose to play Morrowind. Just underneath the play option, there is an option called Data Files, and that's what you need to activate the plugin. Once the Data Files option has been selected, you'll be granted with a new window wherein you can activate/deactivate the plugins. Note, that there are some files that are labeled as Master Files, they also end with .esm, instead of .esp. These files are highly important for Morrowind, so don't fetcher around with them. The files that are already active, have a small x in that little box to their left. All you hav to do now, is to find the plugin file you wish to activate, and x it. If you've installed a plugin, and it doesn't show up on the list, it is because you've messed something up. I hope this helps.
