GratuitousLurking
Basicly title. I don't mind grabbing a few naughty mods, but for now I'm curious about what are the most suggested mods in general, as I got no idea what I should be doing or grabbing (technically that counts ingame as well but I'm getting there on that one ^^; )
bben46
Check the top 100 lists (there are more than one) on the Oblivion front page - hover your mouse over the 'Files' tab at the top - select 'Top Files' from the drop down list. These include 5 lists, 2 are recent - last 2 weeks and have 25 entries. The other 3 are - top of all time - and are 100 files each. Most endorsed all time mods, Most endorsed Non-Adult and Most endorsed Adult only These are the files that most people are going to recommend anyway.
EnaiSiaion
I had the same question, but I refuse to just grab the "most popular" mods. I've been in the Skyrim mod scene for long enough to know the top 100 is crammed with softcore prawn, graphics enhancements that all do the same thing or are highly specialised (eyelashes!) and tons of mods that are only in the top 100 because they got there first and everyone only downloads/endorses mods in the top 100. Popularity should not be the only thing that makes a mod worth checking out.
Balakirev
I had the same question, but I refuse to just grab the "most popular" mods. Then yours is not quite the same question as the OP: ...but for now I'm curious about what are the most suggested mods in general, If you can be more distinct about what you want--if a house, exactly what kind of house, if a quest mod, how difficult, what kinds of rewards, etc--then I'll help out. It just gets kind of wearing so many years on when requests for mod suggestions pop up each week without much more in the way of specificity. :)
devilrejected
Check out this: It'll give you a starting block on modding Oblivion. Like Nexus, Reddit's Oblivion subreddit is also a good place to ask questions.
Zella
The purpose of mods is to improve your game enjoyment by making the game more like what you enjoy playing. YOU have to discover that for yourself. Mods enable us to play Oblivion in a way that may be completely different from the way anyone else plays it. Some people want to be Thieves or Assasins, others to play White Knights, Vampires, Necromancers, Magicians, Alchemists, or adventurers. You can make up any sort of character you enjoy and change the game to enhance that role. If you give us an idea of the sort of game you might enjoy, we can make some useful suggestions. Otherwise we just report our own preferances which may be useless, even offensive, to you.
