Monolithic0117
I've never liked games like Rock Band or Guitar Hero. Just not my type. Music-related games usually aren't.
Palpenious
As with anything, it's just a bit of fun in the end. Do you reckon real soldiers get pissed off at people talking about their achievements in games like Call of Duty or Medal of Honour? That's a good point, but I wonder if some really do. Especially games based on specific real-world battles, some people may have relatives who actually participated in these and seeing them reduced to a plaything could spark some emotions. A bit off topic, but that made me wonder.
tatts24
lol My daughter is sitting next to me playing guitar hero 3 as I type this. :) I play guitar myself and have played for 18 yrs and no guitar hero is not ment to be a simulation. It is just a game and I think it is a good one, I play it all the time myself. Although the guitar is not ment to be a simulation, I have to admit that playing the drums on rock band or GH4 is a good way to get started as it is no different from playing a real set. It is actually a good thing that these games were introduced to the public too, It actually prompted my brother into buying a real set of drums :) Well an electronic set but a pretty good set. To me guitar hero is like an advanced game of simon says but with a kick. :) And it has already been proven that the guitarist who have tried their own songs out on guitar hero often fail at it. As I said though guitar hero is a game and not ment for simulation, well maybe the drums are but not the guitar.
