Mogymog Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Yeah, I don't like these topics either, but I want second, third, and 6th opinions. Ok I wanna install possibly FO3 on 2 other computers, so my little brother can play the game. The other 2 comps are as follows 1> P4 Dual-core 3ghz, 1.5gb ram, X200 128mb integrated gfx, WinXP SP2 2> AMD AthlonXP 1.73ghz, 1.2gbs ram, 7600GS 256mb, WinXP SP2 Is it at all conceivably possible for either of those comps to play it? Even with all options set to lowest they can go and resolution set to 1024x768.. or that completely impossible? Yes I've also run the systemreqslab and they failed, so why I'm asking for multiple opinions for.
UnholyShadow Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I don't know much about computers, but I very much doubt the 128mb one could run it.
mikekearn Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 You'd be better off taking the video card from computer two and plugging it into computer one. The CPU and RAM of #1 are enough to at least let the game run, if not run well, but a 128 MB for the video card? I'm pretty sure that's a no go. The second computer has way below specs for CPU speed, so even though the RAM is enough and video card is okay, it probably won't run.
Mogymog Posted December 7, 2008 Author Posted December 7, 2008 Heh.. trust me, if it was that easy Id have done it.. the 7600GS is an AGP card.. the #1 motherboard is a PCI-E board. So, if they'd both been AGP, then no problem.. but they arent.. and hard times being they are, dont have the spare $80 to buy a new good pci-e card.. So yeah. :P
