LordSarcasm
I've always found it disappointing that mages only have a choice between three elements, fire, frost and electricity. In just about every other universe with some kind of functional magic all of the traditional elements are given a place in a wizard's arsenal. Imagine being able to fire a blast of water out of your hands and fire-hose your enemies off a cliff, or spawn a tornado or smash a boulder over their head with your mind. It could also come with an overhaul allowing players to specialize in certain classes that could benefit from the various other elements, earth or rock for warriors, perhaps with some smithing bonuses or armor perks. Water based mages would lean more towards restoration and alchemy among various other relationships. Air would lean more towards speedy combat like a ranger or duel-wielder. Other additional elements might include shadow, sound, gravity, plant-life and perhaps an expansion on telekinesis (wasted potential in vanilla game I think) among others. Each additional element would also come with a brand new associated atronach which could be summoned from Oblivion and of course some new shouts. citronspion
I think that you unlock some spells that you ask for at masters levels (Blizzard;FireStorm;Lightning Storm) , + you have 4 styles of magic (Destruction;Alteration;Illusion;Conjuration+Shouts)+ Some mods in the nexus. It would be cool if you can precise what spells you want. Deleted1308005User
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23625Offers some new magic types.Death, Nature, more frost, fire and storm spells and so on, I recommend trying this.It also makes the spells level up as you use them. Also:http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16225Apocalypse spell pack, best spell mod available ATM.It offers many USEFUL spells, almost everyone with unique effects. Phenderix is otherwise nice, but it just adds tons of same spells with different visuals. Also, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27708From the maker of Apocalypse spell pack, really unique and new shouts with different effects on every word, check it out! Anyway, I'd really hope someone would make "Earth" based spells.Shockwave.. Earthquake.. Throw stones and so on. OP's request was a bit messy, maybe sort your request a bit? LordSarcasm
Yeah my OP wasn't well thought out, I was kind of short of time. Anyway I've thought a little about what the mod may entail. Earth magic would grant several destruction spells, novice would be sand blaster type attack, apprentice would fire shards of rock that do high physical damage, adept would allow you to fire medium to large sized boulders that explode into flying shrapnel, expert would be a much larger version of the apprentice spell, and the ritual spell would lift a buch of heavy boulders into the air and then drop them on top of NPC's. The earth-cloak called "sand-storm" would be just a twirly version of the sand blaster, like any other cloak. the rune though would have a unique effect. Any character who steps on the earth rune will trigger a small earth quake with a small chance of turning the character into a statue. During this state thay cannot attack or be attacked, except that sufficient physical damage may cause them to shatter into thousands of pieces. The enchantment would include a percent-chance attack of this effect. The shout would allow the Dragonborn to summon a large earthquake, which causes widespread staggering across the battlefield at the first two levels, then the level three version would cause large cracks to open in the ground and potentially swallow any NPC, this has a chance to swallow your followers though too. The atronach would look like a generic rock giant with some of the earth destruction spells. I said that perhaps we could expand on certain elements to give bonuses in different perk trees, well the earth element would grant a small bonus to smithing, mage armor, and unarmed combat, or blcking and heavy armor. So an earth mage could play as a ideal monk or knight class. So far I haven't developed the spells for the other elements, but some of the enchantments and shouts. Water would provide bonuses to restoration and some spells like water walking and waterbreathing. It would also provide high resistance to fire and tghe shout would summon a large tsunami. Air element would be mostly about speed, so maybe light armor and one handed weapons. The enchantment would fortify weapon attack speed. After that though the Dragonborn DLC is actually providing appropriate spells and shouts like summoning tornadoes. Plantlife would provide bonuses to alchemy, provide passive poison resistance, and the enchantment would increase the potency of poisons. A summonable daedra may be something like a super-spriggan, or perhaps a giant carnivorous plant. There would also be an expansion on telekinesis, which would include vortex and anti gravity spells, and a couple that destroy your enemies armor rating. It would also provide bonuses to illusion. Nightgazer
You can find Wind Destruction here now : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48315/? Even adds Wind stuff to your Destruction perk tree.
