Scam (hopefully) based on 2016 NexusMods security breach

Hey, I don't know if this is the most appropriate place for this, but I just got an e-mail trying to extort $3000 USD from me in the form of BTC. The 2016 (July) Nexus Mods security breach seems to be the source of my e-mail and the password used in the extortion attempt, and it seemed to be a pretty stereotypical rendition of the extortion/sextortion scam. If this person(s) bought access to my information, or if this person(s) was involved in the actual breach, they likely have access to other Nexus Mods users' info as well. With that in mind, I was wondering if anyone at Nexus Mods might think about warning people about this. The way most of these people make money is by taking advantage of that initial panic, and warning people to be on the lookout for it and directing people to look into these types of scams might help people through the situation.

We often see scumbags trying to extort money from the users involved in our 2013 data breach. Luckily, by now, most of that data is out of date or completely useless. It's safe to ignore emails like that, never give them a penny!
