PrathameshP
I'm not sure what this is, but this is really annoying me. My skyrim looked good with all my old mods, but I kept on installing more and more, HD clothes, Serious landscape retexture, I don't even remember, a lot. Recently I installed SummerSkies, Summer Skyrim, and Brown Rocks and mountains HD. And that's when this started to happen, I deleted my SummerSkyrim mod, thought that the grass made this happen? Skies too. Nothing worked, I also deleted the brown rocks mod, but still nothing happened, only my mountain / rock textures went purple. I installed the mod again, as I didn't have my old original mountain / rock files. Someone, help please? I can even walk through trees now o.O I think that's because I deleted the SummerSkyrim, I'll install it again. But I think I need the original files, please if anyone could upload them..I'd really appreciate it. http://i.imgur.com/7LY2X.jpg http://i.imgur.com/iEOTG.jpg
Deleted1308005User
For some reason I am feeling like you didn't uninstall things correctly. Anyway, are you using NMM when adding/removing mods? I could believe not.And you might not be familiar with couple of things.ALL vanilla things are contained in Skyrim.bsa files.(Skyrim - meshes, Skyrim - textures, etc. etc.)You just need to uninstall mod-added files to make them work again.Have you enabled Archive invalidation? It could be done with ease using NMM. also, is your game patched to 1.8?
PrathameshP
I installed all my old mods with NMM, but recently I didn't use NMM to install a few mods, I installed them manually. My game is patched to 1.8. I don't know anything about Archive invalidation. And-..yeah maybe I didn't uninstall the mods properly..I was frustrated and I wanted to play the game, it kept crashing at first when I installed SummerSkyrim and Brown Rocks. I deleted SummerSkyrim.esp. The brown rocks were installed as "loose files" ( I suck at installing mods manually, but I thought I should give it a try and these mods were the first ones I installed manually. ) These "loose files" I just dragged them and dropped them into the data folder. "Overwrite? Yes". I just realized that SummerSkyrim had the .esp file and folders like "texture/mesh/lodsettings". And I only deleted the .esp, so I guess that was the problem? But I placed the .esp file again into the data folder, yet nothing happened. The same "flickering" occurred. Then..I was pissed and I deleted the loose files of brown rocks, deleted summer.esp, summerskies.esp. Every recent mod. Nothing happened, but my rocks / mountains became purple. The flickering stuff was still there. I can do without brown rocks, but I'd really love summerskyrim mod. Just tell me how to uninstall these mods manually so I can install them via NMM. I'm never doing anything manually again.
IsharaMeradin
Easy way... Uninstall all mods that you can via NMM but first note the order in which you installed them (look at the date column in NMM)Delete everything in the Data folder not specific to SKSE or other 3rd party program you may be usingBackup your INI files in the Documents > Skryim folderVerify the game and Creation Kit (if you use it) with SteamStart the game once via standard launcher to re-initialize the game.Re-modify your INI files or replace with the backups you made.Re-install the mods via NMM in the same install order as before. Sounds complicated and time consuming but it is far better than trying to figure out exactly which files to delete and which to keep :P
