jjb54
The problem is the owners of LoTR and Hobbit have taken people legally to issue for using their IP and such, without permission. Back in 2012 they put a legal STOP to a Skyrim Mod that was being developed based on The Hobbit and LoTR. IT GOT LOCKED DOWN TO THIS DAY.
Novem99
No, that is a complete different story. The mod you are talking about was the huge endeavour to create a mod that would have include not only a big part of the storyline but also a lot of characters and the whole landscape of LOTR and therefor would have been a serious competitive product for all games developers that consider to pay a lot of money to the owners of LOTR so they get the license to create a LOTR game. But there are no reports that LOTR mods that just include armors and weapons were forced to remove by any represantitive of the Tolkin estate. And here on Nexus are a lot of LOTR/Hobbit mods.
