halex1316
What internet browser are you using? I know that sometimes Google Chrome can cause performance issues in Skyrim because of its crazy amounts of instances that it runs. You can see this by going to your Task Manager and going to Processes. These instances usually take up about 100mb each of memory. That's the only thing I can think of. Perhaps you have some other programs running in the background that could be causing the problem. Close everything and then run Skyrim.

If you use any of this and have some success - or even if nothing works - please post back here what you did that worked or didn't work. That kind of information can be invaluable to other members having the same or similar problems - And to me in fixing any problems in the blog. Dmz96
Windows 8...yea i been hearing bad reviews about this and people say its a step down for windows and that windows 7 is far better then 8 in many areas. I use Windows 8 (My opinion: Really like it).Windows 8 gave me a boost in performance, so I wouldn't say that is the issue. I installed it on a new build and my old laptop, the laptop used Windows 7. I see no reason to go back, as I've had zero issues. To the OP: 10 gb of ram is a very odd number, normally you see 2,4,6,8,16, even 12 but 10 I have never seen - could you give us some more statistics about this ram (speed, maker, a link if possible)Your CPU is fine, the GPU is a tad old, what was your old one (I ask because if your old computer had a newer mobile card it might outperform a 630). Can you specify anything else about skyrim? Any mods? What's your HDD rpm (unless you have a SSD)? Is there specific spots where FPS drops? Do you run any background tasks? Does your computer run hot? Is it possible your computer is using the built in GPU in your CPU? Any additional specifics would help greatly.
