Limit Auto-level gain

Does anyone know of a mod that can prevent me from auto-leveling to the max available level? When I start a new character, sometimes I just want to explore or be a simple hunter but doing that I very very quickly can gain too many xp points and gain 5-10 levels. I'd like to avoid leveling to the max as these characters are explorers not fighters and I don't want to be facing (many) upper level monsters. Ideally, I'd be able to cancel an auto-level gain and just be able to apply any perks I have available... i.e.

 

Currently level 3 - 2 perks available

XP for 4 level gains

Choose to stop at level 5

Now have 4 perk points available and 1 more level gain if/when I want it.

Uncapper mod

It is highly configurable and could possibly achieve what you want. It may require saving and exiting the game to re-adjust some values as not all settings have specific per character level settings available. It is probably the closest thing currently available that may assist in doing what you want.
