DamianDrazhar
I tried everything a halfway experienced modder would do, but I am lost now. I have no clue what causes my crashes. I suspect it has something to do with my dragons (although I don't have a dragon specific mod installed). I ran around skyrim and nothing bad happened, I entered the riverwood trader and did some Midas stuff, but when I left for the third time to test out my spiffy new magics, a dragon spawned and the game crashed. I can look at it for a while and fight it for a bit, but after a minute I see my desktop again. Papyrus log wasn't created (maybe I'm not doing it right?). So I'm lost. all my tools show now indication that something is wrong. Maybe there is a anti crash plugin that might help? Google gave me crabs over the last few days, so as my last resort I'm asking the forum. tl;dr: Skyrim is fukked yo, shitz is broken, needs help. MShoap13
Moonpath is known to cause general instability if you're running it's plugins while playing the normal game. It's generally recommended to only have it active while you're playing it's content and then to remove it once you're done. What priority setting are you running Skyrim at through ATTK? If you're on High, drop it down to Above Normal and see if that helps. Outside of that, so long as you've done the cleaning and stuff that BOSS suggests I don't really see anything glaringly obvious. Also, are you sure it didn't make a log? \My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Logs\Script\ is the directory it will place them in. If it didn't try to make a log again without ATTK running. If it didn't try to make a log again without ATTK running. yeah, I read that in the other thread that moonpath likes to mess with things, I disabled it, didn't help. And unfortunately, it doesn't write a log (is there maybe a different way to get a crash report?). the next thing I'll do is make a clean save and see if that helps, maybe some homeless script is causing some pain. I'll post my adventures here too. I'll do wrye bashing too. *headdesk* /edit boss found some dirty edits, forgot about that. I'll clean them up and see what happens Edited December 28, 2012 by Damian_Drazhar
MShoap13
The Papyrus logs aren't really a crash report but sometimes they'll alert you of an issue that could be causing crashes. Like I said in my previous post, try to get a log without running Skyrim through ATTK.
DamianDrazhar
I did a clean save and it is stable now, I suspect that there is something wonky with my savegame now, I'll investigate. /edit: running away from the fight in my old save worked. lamest. fix. ever. /edit2: still don't know if a dragon kills my game again... Jason2112
99.99% of all CTD come from mod order problems or mod incompatibility. Rip all your mods out and start over.
